''Violence against Women''

        

According to some national studies 30 present of women will experience violence by their partners, as a organism with advanced mind we must be ashamed about it. There are have many reasons for this. They are alcoholism, illiteracy, lack of a respectful opinion of women. Among those things I think, the main reason for this matter illiteracy of men. Because of illiteracy, most of men think doing a physical harm for their woman is a matter to be proud. In my point of view, that happen because of illiteracy, and I suggest that every county in the world must steps should be taken to increase literacy. Then we can make a peaceful world to both men and women.

''Good Habits''

                                         

 we are humans. So we have good habits. We are different than animals because of our habits. as humans we should brush our teeth twice a day. as well as we should get healthy foods as dancers. Especially exercising is also very important thing.

 But according to my opinion it is not enough for a good life. we must respect elders as well as parents. We have to help them. Not only that  as an Undergraduates we must study very well. However we should follow these good habits. If we do so we can spend a good life.

My Future Dream Plans!🥰

                           

As a senior student I had lot of dreams and first thing was getting selected to one of the government universities. I am really happy about where I am today because now I am a student at the University of the Visual and the Performing Arts. Now as an university student my main target is to complete my degree with a high GPA mark. After I get  my graduation, I want to commence my studies in an overseas country either in Canada or in Australia as a postgraduate international student. I like to study overseas because I can expose to another culture with different people and I can develop my own lifestyle. Dancing is only a one strength when it comes to me. I think I have a really good skill in languages as well. Even now I can speak English, Sinhala, Tamil and Hindi. I also like to study French as well. Therefore, I would like to enroll in a world rank university for a language degree to brush up my language skills. After I get graduate from the university I will take the necessary arrangements to study in a foreign university. I will take the very first opportunity to study overseas.🥰🥰🥰

 Human beings can come to death at anytime. It happens every moment. Just like the bulbs. Every night when people go to bed they switch off their rooms and industries. When we see it from up in the sky. It is appeared switch off the bulbs place by place. Just like death.  Death takes the people not every place. But place by place the human being who switch off the bulbs, can young, middle aged or old. Any human being can die at anytime.

  Then what should we have to do is collect merits as much as possible as we collect money. If it is necessary to live comfortably, we have to collect money. If we need to live happily in this existence, we have to gather merits.

   That is why the Gatha was preached by our load buddha..;

         ''Sabba papassa karanan 

          Kusalassa upasampada 

          Sachiththa priyo dapana

          Ethan buddhanusasanan.''

    The meaning is like this..;
             - '' Refrain from demerits
                Gather merits
                Concentrate on mindfulness
                That was words of all buddha.''

    Once load buddha preaches,

    "Anamathaggo ayan bhikkhawe sansaro. Pubba koti na paghghayathi"

    Why we need to be busy in dhamma??
    As to the above statement.,
    It means.
    It is unthinkable to think of the times that we  were born in previous lives. 
   What is the cause. Cause is Thanha ( desire ) 
   We should get away from desire / lust developing samatha and vipassana.

   It brings you iternal peace and happiness.😇

aN iDEAL pLACE fOR a TriP - ''Moon Plains''

''Moon plains'' is  known as SANDA THENNA or SANDAGALA THENNA. It is the latest attraction open to public in Nuwara Eliya. This area is now classified as an agricultural and environmental tourism zone by the Municipal Council in Nuwara eliya. This was opened on 25th march 2014. the main attraction of this is the 'Mini Worlds End' at the edge.  this gives a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains and the town. This moon plains is a home to wild animals such as well while buffaloes beer and many types of birds. This area is also visited by leopards. 

 To access this place, we have to take the road to the goverment potato seed farm at 'Seetha eliya' on the upper lake road and have to pass the farm and continue on the newly constructed road to the Moon Plains. The best time to visit this place is from February- April. Especially the place is open from 07.00am - 05.00 pm on all seven days. Until 1990, the Moon Plains was a 400 m long and 30 - 40 m deep valley. Then Nuwara eliya Municipal Council used two Ha from this land to dispose all the Garbage. However, Moon Plains can be named as the one of most natural and beautiful Environment in Sri Lanka.

MOBILE PHONES...

 

Technology is the wonderful thing. Today we all use the Technology. It is the new invention of human brain. Mobile phones, Computer, Internet, Televisions are a result of the Technology. Among these things Mobile phone is very special. It is a new invention. Today we use the mobile phone. There are so many advantages we can go around the world in two or three minutes.

We can use the internet using mobile phones. as the result of that today we use it for education. We had to face Covid - 19. The Universities were closed. But we could get online education. It is an important. Especially we can share our ideas with others. There are so many social medias such as Viber, Imo, Whatsapp, Instagram etc., so We can enhance our social knowledge. It is very useful for our safety. but there are some disadvantages as well.

Today children use the mobile phones. They waste the time. Especially they use Facebook, do Tik toks. As a result of that they join with bad people. As well as they watch bad videos with Tik Tok. Not only that they learn about crimes. So according to my idea, We should teach the Young generation to get the good things from the Mobile phones... 

Covid - 19. (Coronavirus)

  Covid-19 is an infectious disease. This new Virus was unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Now It has spread all over the World and It has become a Global threat. Unfortunately we are also facing to this threat now. So in every moment, we talk about it. Therefor I`m not going to much introduce about this disease but as educated people, we should know  the most common symptoms of this disease. Those are; 

                        -Fever, 

                        -Dry Cough, 

                        -Tiredness. 

  and the less common symptoms are; 

                        -Aches, 

                        -Sore throat, 

                        -Diarrhea, 

                        -Headache.

  As I think We should have a clear understanding about these things. According to my views, as a Nation, we must give our fullest Co-operation to the Government. That means we must follow the Instructions which they mention. Some of them are; 

         -Clean Hands Often.

         - Keep distance from others.

         - Wear a mask when Physical distancing is not possible.

         -Stay home if you feel unwell.

         - Get the medical attention if you have fever. 

When we listen to the Media, They always inform us about this virus. Day by day we can hear about deaths. Millions of deaths could be seen. This is a pathetic situation. So let`s get together.

I think we can give the fullest Co-operation to the Government in this time. please follow medical advices and get the Vaccine as soon as possible. As an one nation it is our responsibility. It is up to you and It is up to me...

If not;

- VANDALISM -

We are humans. As humans, We can not live alone. We have to share our ideas, we have to share our feelings. Especially Sri Lanka is a developing Country. So we have to use Public Property such as Schools, Hospitals, Bus stop, public Libraries etc., but We can see Our Uneducated People destroy these places. It is called 'Vandalism'. Those people who destroy these Public places are called 'Vandals'.                                                

Most of the causes for Vandalism are; 

               -  Personal Attitudes.

               -   Anger.

               -   Playfulness.

               -  Disciplinary Problems.

               -  Basic Social Problems.

 

This has become a huge problem by now. As an example, Today we all have a free Education. As a result of that we are given books, Chairs and Desks freely but Children tear them, write unnecessary things. Not only that Vandals paste posters on the walls. They steal books from Libraries. As an Educated people, we should change this disaster. To stop the Vandalism; 

       -We can educate the Public, Young generation.

       - The Police can get necessary actions.

       -We can launch Programs to change the Vandal`s Attitudes.

If we do so, We can grassroot the Vandalism not only from the Village or City but also from the whole Country.

My Sunday😇🧡

 As an Undergraduate I Spend a Busy Life. I have to join Online Lectures 8.00 am - 4.00 pm on every Monday to Saturday, have to study the notes and have to complete the assignments. So there is no time to relax on those days. But I have Sunday to do anything I want😍.

 On Sunday, I am like a free Bird. I do not have to join the Lecture via Zoom like other days. So I usually get up at about 09.00 am in the Morning. Then I start my work with washing clothes first. then I clean my room. After that take a Shower and get my Lunch. then go for shopping with my elder sister. Not only that I do not forget to meet my school friends also. 

Next the family time comes.. Sunday is the only free day for all the members in my family. so In the Evening, my father, mother, elder brother and elder sister join with me in the Living room with drinking a cup of tea and talk about what we had done in last six days.. that is the most beautiful time for me on Sunday. Normally we laugh and talk about one or two hour and order the dinner from a hotel. After having dinner, I come to my room and refer the Learning Management System for plan my upcoming week. Finally I go to bed early at about 09.00 pm.

However, Sunday is the best day of the week. It is fun and relaxing. So I love Sundays!🤗💓

I think You Know Who is the Person in the above picture I am going to talk about. Yes He is none other than Mr.Wijaya Nandasiri and he is no more with us.

  Mr. Wijaya Nandasiri was an Award Winning Actor in Sri Lankan Cinema, Stage Drama and Television. He acted in Comedy Films such as '64 Mayam', 'Suhada Koka',' Sikuru Hathe', 'Kinghanther' etc. Some of  His Television Programs are 'Yes Boss' and 'Mago Digo Dai'. 

He gave a Smile to every face with his acting every time because he had a good talent for that.even today People talk about him and still watch the films that he acted. There for I must say, Mr. Wijaya Nandasiri is a Painting that will never fade in my Mind!
